OnePlus introduced OxygenOS 13, the newest iteration of its Android skin, last week in conjunction with the introduction of the 10T. OxygenOS 13 is based on Android 13. And now the brand has already released OxygenOS 13’s first Open Beta build for the OnePlus 10 Pro.
Since this is the first publicly accessible beta many bugs and issues are to be expected; thus, do not install this on your primary device. However, if you have a OnePlus 10 Pro lying around for testing purposes, you can install the software by following the instructions from this link.
It should be noted that as of right now, the new software is only accessible on OnePlus 10 Pro devices purchased in North America and India, with a promise that European units would receive it shortly.
A new animation engine that produces more logical and natural-looking animations is mentioned in the changelog, along with optimized fonts, a more seamless earphone connectivity experience, more bitmoji always-on display animations, more individualized AOD settings, automatic pixelation of profile pictures and display names for chat screenshots, routine clearing of clipboard data for privacy reasons, a new Kid Space, enhanced Dolby sound effects and HyperBoost GPA 4.0 for gaming.
The camera app can freeze and display black screens, there are known issues with logging, a dot that displays strangely when pairing Bluetooth, photos that could be blurry when taking multiple shots of people while zooming out and using Ultra Dark mode, freezing when recording videos, pictures that won’t save when shooting people at 3.3x zoom and black pictures when shooting in the dark while using Night Mode.
