Huawei reportedly unveil a new model in the P50 Pocket series

The Huawei Pocket P50 is a clamshell foldable smartphone made by Huawei, and it is currently being said that the firm is getting ready to introduce a follow-up model in its foldable range very soon.

According to a Chinese tipster, the Huawei P50 Pocket series will introduce a new model before the end of this month in China. The firm hasn’t yet made any announcements on this new phone, though.

The forthcoming smartphone model would, according to the claim, have a 6.9-inch internal display but no exterior screen. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor, which can only support 4G connection, will power the handset.

A 40MP primary camera sensor, a 13MP ultrawide lens and a 32MP hyperspectral lens will be part of a triple-camera configuration on the back of the device.

According to prior sources, the smartphone will probably be dubbed Huawei P50 Pocket New and will probably cost significantly less than the original model because the brand wants to compete with Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip line.

Huawei’s forthcoming foldable smartphone might cost as little as 50% less than its predecessor. The smartphone with 256GB of internal storage might start at CNY4,999 ($695), although this is only a guess at this stage.

The cheap Galaxy A-series foldable smartphone may not hit the market for a few years, despite the fact that Samsung is said to be developing one as part of its foldable smartphone lineup.
