iOS 16.0.2 released for the new iPhones with fix for camera shake and copy/paste bug

Users have begun experiencing extreme camera wobble while accessing the camera on several third-party apps less than a week after Apple unveiled the iPhone 14 series. An early release of iOS 16.0.2 to iPhones indicates that the problem has been fixed.

The second-generation sensor-shift OIS mechanism in the primary camera of the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max appears to be what is to blame for the camera shaking. When opening a non-Apple app that utilized the camera, several users complained that the camera made loud shaking and grinding noises, rendering the camera useless for certain apps.

The update also included further fixes. The new copy/paste prompt that appeared with iOS 16 received considerable criticism. According to several users, the frequent requests for permission to copy and paste text between applications irritated them.

The update also resolves a problem that affected iPhone X, XR and iPhone 11 customers with touch input that was unresponsive after a display replacement.

All compatible iPhone models are now receiving the update. Go to Settings > General > Software Update to install the update.
