OnePlus released Android 12 update for the OnePlus 7 series

Nearly two months after Google released Android 13, OnePlus is now ready to issue its own significant Android upgrade to the OnePlus 7, 7 Pro, 7T and 7T Pro. However, we’re not referring to Android 13, but rather Android 12, which has been around for more than a year. Late is better than never.

For the aforementioned four phones, the Chinese manufacturer began beta testing Android 12 a few weeks ago. Those who participated in the process are now beginning to receive the final upgrade. This indicates that in the upcoming days and weeks, those who were not a part of the test group should also receive the Android 12 upgrade.

For the OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro, the build is designated H.28, while for the OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro, it is designated F.16. The upgrade includes the August 2022 security patch level, which is now two months old and is a joke at this point.

New features include a three-level dark mode, new style options for Cards in Shelf, the new Smart Battery Engine, which uses algorithms to extend your battery life, new app icons, system-wide improvements to the way text and colors are presented, support for preventing spam MMS and HyperBoost end-to-end frame rate stabilizer for games. The new software, OxygenOS 12.1, represents a complete visual overhaul for these models.

All users now have access to Work Life Balance, which includes the ability to easily switch between Work and Life via a Quick Settings toggle and support for automated switching based on locations, Wi-Fi networks, or time. With a two-finger pinch motion, Gallery now allows you to move between layouts, and Canvas AOD now includes new line and color styles, new brushes, and better face recognition.
