Oppo Reno 9 tipped specs reveal 6.7-inch OLED display, SD 778G SoC

The Oppo Reno 9 series is anticipated to debut in China either this month or in December 2022. At least three phones are anticipated to be released by the business later this year. The Reno 9, Reno 9 Pro, and Reno 9 Pro Plus fall under this category. The Reno 9 series from Oppo is anticipated to debut in India early in 2019. As the rumored debut date approaches, a fresh leak has made the vanilla Reno 9 5G’s specs and features public.

For the standard Reno variant, Oppo reportedly switched to a Snapdragon 700-series chipset. As opposed to the Reno 8, the Reno 8 came with a MediaTek Dimensity 1300 SoC.

Later this year in China, the Oppo Reno 9 will be the brand’s latest higher mid-range smartphone. India’s debut is probably going to come next. The specifications of the Reno 9 have just leaked by tipster Digital Chat Station, before the announcement of the phone’s official launch date.

According to the report, the Reno 9 would include an under-screen fingerprint scanner and a 6.7-inch OLED display. The Reno 8’s 90Hz panel will be replaced by one that supports a 120Hz refresh rate. A leaked live picture of the phone shows that the top center will also have a hole-punch cutout.

The triple-camera arrangement on the rear of the Reno 9 was further disclosed by the live photographs. The main camera will be a 64MP OmniVision OV64B. The remaining two sensors’ specifications are yet unknown.

The Snapdragon 778G SoC will be found within the Reno 9 5G. Up to 12GB of RAM will be available at launch.

Additionally, a 4500mAh battery with 67W rapid charging capabilities is rumored to be included in the phone. Contrary to some earlier rumors, which claimed the phone will support 40W UFCS (Universal Fast Charging Specifications) standards, this is the case. The Reno 9’s 67W fast charging support means it will still charge more slowly than the Reno 8’s 80W support.
