Realme already announced the 9i and two Pro models from the series, but it is yet to unveil the vanilla Realme 9. The smartphone is expected to have two variants – 4G and 5G, just like the Realme 8 from last year. As per a report from industry sources close to 91mobiles, the 5G variant will sport a display with 144Hz refresh rate.

The publication got their hands on a marketing image showcasing the display running 144Hz and supporting seven HRR steps depending on the content. Obviously the display is going to be an IPS LCD and not an OLED since it is a budget smartphone.
Previous rumors hint that the device will be powered by Dimensity 810 SoC paired with at least 6GB/128GB memory and a 5,000mAh battery.
