Realme officially announced the long-awaited GT 2 series. The series consists of two models – vanilla GT 2 and the GT 2 Pro. There are several noteworthy developments and we’ll start with the design.

Two of the colors of the GT 2 models come with a specially developed bio-based polymer back material which feels like paper – a first on any smartphone. Naoto Fukusawa and Realme’s design studio were tasked with the development of the new material and the brand claims it has the same structural integrity as other fossil-based materials while saving up to 2KG carbon-dioxide per kilogram of body weight.
