Earlier this year, Xiaomi introduced the Redmi K50 series in China. The Redmi K50, K50 Pro and K50 Gaming Edition were introduced by the company in China. Additionally, Xiaomi unveiled the K50i, a Redmi Note 11T Pro 5G rebadged, in India. After the Redmi K50 series launched a few months ago, the rumor mill has recently begun to produce more leaks of the K60 series.

Later this year, the Redmi K60 series might make its appearance. The launch date is not yet confirmed. Meanwhile, Redmi K60 series information has been made public by tipster Digital Chat Station. According to the informant, the K60 series would use a dual-platform approach and come with MediaTek and Snapdragon chipsets.

Early in 2023 or later this year, China is scheduled to host the launch of the Redmi K60 series. Key information has leaked ahead of the launch. The K60 series prototype devices, according to Digital Chat Station, are powered by MediaTek and Snapdragon chipsets. The chipsets will utilize the 4nm technology from TSMC. If this is the case, Redmi may introduce its flagship handsets with MediaTek Dimensity 9000/ 9000+ and the new Snapdragon 8/ 8+ Gen 1 SoC.

The tipper also disclosed that the 2K flexible screen for the K60 series will include a hole-punch cutout in the upper center. A 50MP primary camera sensor will be housed in the back camera module. According to ITHome, the 50MP sensor may be a modified Sony IMX766. The K60 series will also have two quick charging options for the various battery capacities. The specifics of the battery and quick charging were kept under wraps by the company.

According to rumors, Xiaomi is also preparing to introduce the K50 Ultra. The smartphone is anticipated to arrive on sale in August and include 120W fast charging and a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. A Dimensity 9000+ SoC option will also be available. This model is probably compatible with 100W fast charging.
