Recently, OnLeaks published images of the Motorola Moto Edge (2022), also known as “Dubai+”, a follow-up to the Edge and Edge (2021). The leaker has since released official renderings that more accurately depict the finished product (though the launch date is still unknown). There are also some alleged specifications.
The phone will reportedly include a 32MP selfie camera on the front and a smaller 6.5” P-OLED display with FHD+ resolution and 144Hz refresh rate.

The triple camera on the back, which is seen in the renderings, will have a 50MP primary module with OIS, a 13MP ultrawide shooter and a 2MP depth sensor. Neither the Edge (2021)’s 108MP primary camera nor the Edge’s telephoto module will be making a reappearance.
The 2022 phone will apparently be powered by a MediaTek MT6879 processor rather than a Snapdragon 7-series CPU like prior models. It is rumored to contain an octa-core CPU (2x Cortex-A78 + 6x A55) and a Mali-G79 GPU, however this hasn’t been confirmed yet. 6 or 8 GB RAM and 128 or 256 GB of storage will be included with this. A very sizable 6,000mAh battery with undefined fast charging will power the phone.

The standard Edge versions are usually reliable mid-ranger variants that are fairly priced. More potent chipsets and/or better cameras will be available on the current Edge 30, 30 Pro and 30 Fusion models. The Moto Edge X30 Pro/Edge 30 Ultra will be the top model in the line when it is released. Okay, perhaps. The new Razr foldable and the X30 Pro were both scheduled to be introduced today, but the event was abruptly postponed without giving a reason.
