Samsung Galaxy S23 phones will apparently be powered only by the Snapdragon chipsets

The forthcoming Galaxy S23 series will completely replace the Exynos chipset with the Snapdragon chipsets, as was previously predicted based on several rumors. While announcing the Q4 2022 financial results, Qualcomm CFO Akash Palkhiwala stated that the processor is present on the Samsung flagships. Contrary to all exceptions, the new flagship smartphone will be released with the same processor everywhere.

Due to the release of new smartphones employing the next flagship chipset in Q1 2023, Qualcomm anticipates seeing significant growth. Additionally, the dates overlap with the introduction of the Galaxy S23, which will boost sales. In a statement, Akash Palkhiwala said, “So from a March quarter perspective, you’re right, the benefit from the Samsung launch for the new phone would be in the second half of the March quarter. So it comes in towards the end of the quarter, but that will be an advantage, whereas our share from 75% in G S22 goes up to global share in G S23. – Akash Palkhiwala (Qualcomm CFO)”

The new multiyear arrangement for the usage of Qualcomm chipsets for Samsung’s premium segment phones was also verified during the reports call.
