Samsung shares top features of the One UI 5 custom skin

We now have all the information on the newest features coming to Samsung phones in the upcoming weeks as Samsung unveiled its own version on Android 13 with One UI 5 at its annual Samsung Developer Conference. Samsung stated that One UI 5 would be made available to consumers as a stable firmware upgrade for Galaxy flagships including the Galaxy S22 series, Z Flip4 and Z Fold4 in the coming weeks.

The new lock screen, which now allows you to change your wallpaper, clock face, and color schemes, is where it all begins. The video wallpaper option, which enables you to display a little film on your lock screen, is another cool feature.

Samsung is also introducing new intelligent widget and app suggestions that are based on your usage habits. New recognition settings in One UI 5’s Routines make it easier to launch automations. The new feature called Modes enables you to schedule specific app settings and functions for various times of the day, such as before bed or during exercise.

When you don’t feel like chatting, Bixby Text Call from Samsung allows you to accept calls by text message as an alternative to Google Screen calling.

The person on the other end of the line will be informed when you answer a call using Bixby Text Call, and you can then write out what you want Bixby to say while simultaneously transcribing what the other person is saying in real-time. Users in South Korea may currently use Bixby Text Call, and an English version is scheduled to be released in the early months of 2023.

You may now extract text from images in your photos using Samsung Gallery.

Additionally, there is a new Connected devices menu as well as a privacy hub with dashboards for security and privacy. Additionally, Samsung updated the Share Panel with a new message that alerts you when you attempt to share photographs containing private data like your passport or credit card.
