The Vivo X80 series launched last month in China began its global rollout a couple of days ago, starting with Malaysia, and its next stop will be India as vivo’s Indian branch today announced that the X80 series will debut in India on May 18 at noon local time.
The vivo X80 series consists of three models – X80, X80 Pro and X80 Pro+. However, the Pro+ version isn’t announced yet, and it will only arrive in Q3 2022, so it’s not launching in India next Wednesday. Moreover, vivo India has only confirmed the X80 Pro explicitly, but the use of the word “series” in its promo campaign pretty much confirms the company will also launch the X80 in India on May 18.
Here's the date you've all been waiting for! It's time to block 18th of this month in your calendars for the much awaited launch of the vivo X80 series. Let's redefine cinematography!

There is no word surrounding the pricing of the X80 and X80 Pro in India, but the brand says that smartphones will be sold exclusively through Flipkart. Although you can also expect them to be available for purchase through vivo’s official Indian website and retail stores across the country.

Another detail confirmed by vivo is the X80 Pro’s processor. The smartphone was announced with two chipsets – Dimensity 9000 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. The Indian units will be powered by the latter, which is not a surprise since the Malaysian model also has Qualcomm’s flagship chipset under the hood, while the Dimensity 9000 variant remain s limited to the Chinese market.
