Xbox Game Pass now has Assassin’s Creed Odyssey available

The most recent Ubisoft game headed for the Xbox Game Pass is currently playable on the service. It is Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Now, subscribers may download the game to their PC or console. Ubisoft has enabled 60 FPS functionality for the game via backwards compatibility for the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions of the game.

One of the biggest and most comprehensive Assassin’s Creed games in the series, AC Odyssey offers the player 60+ hours of content, packed with side missions, DLC, and a variety of entertaining side activities. The game is set in the Greek city-states of 431-422 BC, and the players assume the roles of Kassandra or Alexios, two famed mercenaries banished from Spartan society.

The game extends on the RPG open-world gameplay first seen in Assassin’s Creed Origins and departs from the other games in the series before Origins.

On the Xbox Game Pass, a number of September’s games, including Metal Hellsinger’s Day One release, are now accessible for download. Since it was regarded as one of the best games in the series and developed a cult following over the years since its release, AC Odyssey is a welcome addition to the library.

It also helps that Ubisoft kept supporting the game well after its release date with hefty DLCs, including the Fate of Atlantis, which would need players to spend upwards of 30 hours to finish alone.

Although many feel that Assassin’s Creed Odyssey deviates much too far from the series’ origins and ends up playing very differently from the typical AC adventures that gamers have grown accustomed to. Anyone who like stories with excellent choice-based endings and character customization will find AC Odyssey to be totally up their alley.
