Recently, Xiaomi presented a fascinating new smartphone that it has been developing. The aforementioned gadget is the Xiaomi 12S Ultra Concept Edition, which has a distinctive back camera configuration with an add-on Leica lens for better shooting.
On its official Weibo account, the Chinese tech giant just posted a new teaser video and graphic poster. These teasers make it apparent that the future phone will be a high-end model with a focus on camera photography. The next smartphone will include a 1 inch main camera sensor on the back, according to teasers on a Chinese microblogging website. A specialized Leica M series lens, which is removable from the big back camera module, would enhance this sensor’s capabilities though.
To improve the photographic capabilities of the new 12S Ultra Concept edition, Xiaomi is the first to install a whole Leica camera lens on a smartphone, according to official notes. According to the manufacturer, the new lens would enable the device to provide both a premium smartphone experience and a tool for professional photography. Lei Jun, CEO of the company, provided some information about the cameras even though the exact specifications of the device are yet unknown. The 12S Ultra Concept reportedly has two 1-inch sensors, one of which is a typical smartphone sensor and the other of which is coupled with the external optics.
However, there is no zoom lens; the module also has an extreme wide angle lens. The external lens may only provide the magnification capability. This is the only information the business has posted online as of right now. Stay tuned for additional information on this subject as further teases and leaks are likely to appear shortly.
