Xiaomi 12S Ultra flagship confirmed to be exclusively sold in China

In its native nation of China, Xiaomi just unveiled the Xiaomi 12S Ultra, the company’s newest flagship smartphone in the Xiaomi 12 range. Additionally, the phone represents a partnership between Xiaomi and Leica.

The Xiaomi 12S Ultra smartphone has been on sale in the Chinese market, but until recently, there was no information accessible concerning its availability outside. Lei Jun, the CEO of Xiaomi, has now provided additional information about its accessibility.

The Xiaomi 12S Ultra will only be marketed in the Chinese market and won’t be offered for sale outside of China, according to Lei Jun, who announced this on Weibo. He did, however, add that the global sale of the upcoming models should begin the following year.

The 6.73-inch LTPO 2.0 AMOLED display on the Xiaomi 12S Ultra offers a 2K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 1500 nits of maximum brightness and a pixel density of 521ppi. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 CPU, up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB UFS 3.1 storage are its power sources.

On the rear, it has a Leica Summicron lens system. A 48MP ultrawide shooter, a 48MP telephoto and a 50MP Sony IMX989 main snapper makes up the triple camera configuration. The phone has a 32MP camera on the front that can be used for selfies and video calls.

The phone comes pre-installed with the Android 12 operating system and the MIUI 13 custom user interface from the manufacturer. It has a 4,860mAh battery that can be charged at speeds of 67W by wire, 50W wirelessly and 10W reverse charging support.
