Xiaomi 12T series teased to sport a 200MP camera

On October 4, the Xiaomi 12T series will be released. Before the major announcement, CEO Lei Jun confirmed on Twitter that the main camera would have a 200MP sensor, which is a significant improvement over the 12S series. According to the most recent reports, we anticipate that only the Xiaomi 12T Pro will receive the enormous sensor, with the normal Xiaomi 12T having to make due with a 108MP primary camera.

Samsung’s HP1 sensor, a 1/1.22” imager with an f/1.69 aperture, Phase Detection Autofocus (PDFA) and optical image stabilization, is said to be used by the Xiaomi 12T Pro (OIS). Depending on your requirements, the HP1 sensor offers 16-1 pixel binning in resolutions ranging from 12.5MP stills with a 2.56μm pixel pitch to 50MP stills (1.28μm pixels) or at 200MP (0.64μm pixels).

The Motorola Edge 30 Ultra, which we recently evaluated and discovered to give excellent detail preservation and colors in both day and night photographs, has the same 200MP sensor. The Xiaomi 12T series is also said to include 6.67” AMOLED displays with 1,220 x 2,712px resolution, 5,000mAh batteries with 120W fast charging and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 CPU for the 12T Pro and MediaTek’s Dimensity 8100 for the Xiaomi 12T, among other alleged specifications.
