
Besides Poco, Civi and Redmi, the Xiaomi portfolio also has the Black Shark sub-brand, which is known for the powerful smartphones with bold designs targeted at the gaming smartphone market.
The Black Shark 5 series was launched in China two months ago, and now the brand is preparing to bring the Black Shark 5 and Black Shark 5 Pro phones to its first global market – Malaysia. The new devices will be officially launched on June 8 (Wednesday) in the country at 7 PM Malaysia time/ 4:30 PM Indian time.

Black Shark is expected to announce the pricing and pre-order details of the Black Shark 5 series on that day. The launch event will be officially streamed live via Black Shark Malaysia official social media channels which are on Facebook and TikTok.
As for the specs of the Black Shark 5 series, we expect the global variants of the Black Shark 5 and Black Shark 5 Pro to be the same as the variants that launched back on March 30 in China.
